The plant is built with rigorous industrial and social standards, and is utilizing a newly developed and highly technical manufacturing process. Gambro are initially seeking to employ an additional 800 people in the local area and expect to have 1500 employees when our expansion is completed. The plant manufactures world-class products to dialysis providers in the Czech Republic as well as the rest of the world. When the plant in Přerov is using its maximum capacity it will produce approximately 50 percent of Gambro’s bloodlines globally.

Gambro has been present in the Czech Republic since 1993 when production started with only 20 employees.
About bloodlines
Bloodlines are advanced blood transportation systems designed specifically to meet the unique requirements of enhanced dialysis treatments. Bloodlines transport the blood from the patient to the dialysis machine and through the dialyzer where the blood is cleaned and returned to the body. Gambro bloodlines are developed using a DEHP-free patented formula, all are latex-free so that sensitive patients will not be exposed to sensitizing compounds.
