Gambro is extending a helping hand to the victims of the May 12 earthquake in the Sichuan region in China by donating dialysis equipment and necessary disposables to Intensive Care Units as well as Hemodialysis clinics across the affected region. 

Following the announcement on October 4, 2007, to discontinue manufacturing operations in Latina, Italy Gambro is today announcing the signature of a preliminary agreement with S.C.M S.r.l. (Italy) for the sale of the bloodline manufacturing facility in Latina (Italy)

This week, at European Renal Association - European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA) Congress in Stockholm, Gambro introduces the Artis™ system, a new generation of hemodialysis (HD). During the European Renal Association – European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA) Congress in Stockholm, Gambro presents the results from the annual survey, Dialysis Opinions, in which 7 000 nephrology professionals around the world have given their opinion on Future Development of Dialysis. More than 50 percent of the responders say the best long-term dialysis therapy should include a component of patient involvement and more frequent dialysis than today.

Today Gambro Czech Republic, s.r.o. celebrated the opening of a state of the art bloodline manufacturing facility in Přerov, Czech Republic. Gambro’s Přerov plant will become Gambro’s largest factory worldwide with 1500 employees.
