CRRT Dose - How much is enough?

Eileen Mahoney BA, ADN
How much CRRT dose to prescribe to a critically ill AKI patient continues to be questioned in the clinical community. More importantly, after the optimal dose is prescribed, many factors affect delivery of the prescribed dose. This presentation will present the scientific evidence for optimum CRRT dosing and provide insight into factors affecting delivery of the prescribed CRRT dose.

KDIGO - “GPS” for AKI Patient Management

Jennifer Vandenberg BSN, RN, CCRN
The Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) initiative recently published clinical practice guidelines for managing patients with Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). The guideline demonstrates the need to differentiate AKI from ESRD. Additionally, the guidelines provide evidence graded direction to the clinician for managing AKI patients treated with renal replacement therapy.
