HEMOCONTROL Therapy Adapting therapies to every individual

With automated profiling of UF rate and Na+ level, therapies in HEMOCONTROL mode manage fluid removal in the most physiological way possible. The UF rate and Na+ level are automatically adjusted to reach the treatment goals while keeping blood volume stable and within a trajectory where hypovolemia is avoided.

HEMOCONTROL mode allows more comfortable treatments and contributes to the reduction of hypotensive episodes. The UF and Na+ profiles are always tuned to the exact patient status while still ensuring the prescribed dry weight and ionic balance in the prescribed treatment time.

The European Best Practice Guidelines on Hemodialysis 2007 recommends, based on the available evidence, individualized blood volume controlled feedback as approach to prevent intradialytic hypotension. [Nephrol Dial Transplant 2007:22(Suppl.2):ii22-ii44]
