Evodial - The world’s first heparin grafted dialyzer

We are constantly seeking new ways to advance the science of dialysis, and today we own the rights to more than 1800 patents. In our R&D efforts we work in close partnerships with our customers to ensure customer insight. We also work alongside Key Opinion Leaders for input on future therapy needs, and have several University collaborations and customer networks to ensure early evaluations of new product ideas and therapies.

The core of R&D at Gambro is our people: We have 350 R&D employees worldwide, with main locations in Sweden (Lund), France (Meyzieu), Germany (Hechingen) and Italy (Medolla). We have high levels of education and proficiency in our team, with 32 PhD graduates and 119 MSc graduates, representing unique competences within areas such as membranes, fluid composition & biocompatibility, usability, and complex system design. Our people-development is based on a well-defined career model, and we are constantly investing in our skill-building agenda through training and knowledge sharing.

Innovation is key in everything we do, and we have a strong portfolio of pioneering and attractive offerings in all the key segments we operate in. Whether it’s with a new product, a new feature, a new solution or a new way to provide care, we strive to lead the field.
